The JES Foundation organized a remarkable event in Grand’Anse, Jérémie, in the Caracolie #2 area, at the IMCS school. On January 1st, 2025, the foundation shared pumpkin soup (soup joumou) with members of the community during an event titled “Let’s Talk About Independence.” This activity provided a special moment to reflect on the history of independence while fostering unity and solidarity among participants. In addition to benefiting those who attended the soup-sharing event, one of JES’s primary goals was to support local farmers in Jérémie by ensuring that the ingredients used were sourced from local producers.
